A little bit about us.
Back in the 70's my wife surprised me with my first metal detector, at that time I didn't even know what they were.
Since then, what a great trip it has been Enjoying one of the greatest hobbies there is to opening my own metal detecting business which enables me not only to continue enjoying the hobby, but meeting and sharing adventures with some of the greatest down to earth people on the planet.
What's my favorite thing to do? Easy answer, meeting some my 6 grandkids down at the beach for a day of metal detecting, just seeing the glow on their faces when they pull that treasure out of the ground just can't be described.
Right now 4 of the kids have their own detectors and love detecting, the other 2 are just too young yet, but I'm sure they will be joining us when the time is right.
In 1985 due to a lack of local dealers and lack of information on the hobby I started Windy City detectors which has developed into a multi-line metal detecting dealership that has been servicing customers in the Chicago area and elsewhere with metal detectors for security, industry, and hobby as well as specialty equipment for serious treasure hunters.
